The needs of today's Internet can hardly be equated with basic needs. Any man willing to spend money in order to enjoy topnotch internet access. According to Akamai's telecommunications research institute, if on average, the global internet speeds up to mid-2013 to reach 3.1 Mbps.
South Korea alone lead the top 10 countries with the highest internet speed. In addition, from other Asian regions there Japan and Hong Kong in second and third. The rest are the countries of continental Europe and America blue. There was no representative from Africa. Here's the full list of Akamai report in Q1 2013.
- South Korea (14.2 Mbps).
- Japan (11.7 Mbps).
- Hong Kong (10.9 Mbps).
- Switzerland (10.1 Mbps).
- Netherlands (9.9 Mbps).
- Latvia (9.8 Mbps).
- The Czech Republic (9.6 Mbps).
- Sweden (8.9 Mbps).
- United States (8.6 Mbps).
- Denmark (8.2 Mbps).
But the top spot in South East Asia for most speeding internet affair dominated by Thailand (44 to 4.4 Mbps) and Malaysia (70 to 2.7 Mbps). In fact, the two countries was much better than the Chinese who perched at position 98 with a speed of 1.7 Mbps only.
