The Screen Smartphone Able To Kill Bacteria & Virus

CALIFORNIA - Gorilla Glass has been widely known as a component that can create tablet and smartphone screens resilient to scratches. Not quite up there, Corning also developed a display technology that could kill the bacteria.

"Corning is working on an innovative glass coating that is able to kill bacteria and viruses," said Senior Vice President Jeffrey Evenson spoke on the mat MIT Technology Review Mobile Summit 2013, June. Thus excerpted from Mashable, Thursday (11/07/2013).

This technology, further Evensin, will begin work on for the healthcare industry, but do not close the possibility to apply this technology to other industries, including smartphones. Shown in an image, Corning technology is able to kill the bacteria E.coli.

Well, this finding appears to be good news for smartphone owners. Because the phone is suppose to contain many germs and bacteria that can make the owner disease.

Evenson said it is also working on an anti-glare glass to enhance the experience of smartphones to access the outdoors, especially when lighting conditions directly. "It makes it easier to read in sunlight," he said
