MediaTek Design Octa Core Pure Processor

MediaTek  may not have been as popular Qualcomm. But this did not stop the Chinese company to bring more advanced technology. Based on the release of the roadmap, MediaTek mobile processor variant is preparing better than quad core.

Carrying the type MT6592, MediaTek's latest processor could be called octa-core mobile processor technology first in the world.

Unlike octa-core technology is adopted by the ARM architecture Big.LITLE Samsung, MediaTek MT6592 solemnly presented 8 processor cores in this garapannya.


From the leaked roadmap revealed MediaTek, the MT6592 reported to be relying on arable TSMC 28 nm manufacturing. While its clock speed in the range of 1.7 GHz to 2 GHz and has a video decoding capability of 1080 pixels at 30 fps (frames per second).

Not only that, as quoted from Phone Arena, Thursday (04/07/2013), MediaTek MT6592 supposedly will also equip with support for 4G LTE technology in it.

Unfortunately, in a test conducted using AnTuTu, MT6592 only able to carve a yield of 30 thousand points, still well below the 800 who could carve Snapdragon result in the range of 35 thousand points despite only rely on quad-core technology.

Certainly interesting how MediaTek processor mix 8 'brain' is. While Samsung, through S4 Galaxy series has brought the octa-core Exynos processor. Actually it is not pure octa-core, but in the form of two quad-core processors are used as one.
